Many years ago in audio we had these things called trackers. Trackers were step sequencers for samples. Fast Tracker II was our weapon of choice. Distorting kick drums was our methodology. Paddling the Gabber canoe was something we talked about.
Sometimes it’s hard to see the positive side in the thick of it all. You’re just pissed about the money you’re being coerced or forced into spending, or angry that the situation is happening out of your control. I’ve been doing audio production on and off for a while now, I used to make drum & bass and slave in the studio for something to do. Prior to that I made 4/4 hardcore in Fast Tracker II and ModPlug Tracker (yeehaww!). A few years back I got together with a mate to start writing more and just generally have some fun making hip hop. We’re from Perth, we call ourselves Selekt Few.
