I wanted to use K2 Sidebar Module(K2SBM) instead of WordPress Widgets, now that’s fine because K2SBM has support for WordPress Widgets. However, as much as i tried i couldn’t get the Flickr Photo Widget from Silaspartners Flickr Photo Gallery to work, i think it has something to do with K2SBM not recognising the options stuff.
Anyway, i did a quickfix module, just unzip this file into wp-content\themes\k2\app\modules (which i hear is totally not cool, but whatever couldnt find out how else to do it and it works!) and it will add “K2 Flickr Sidebar” to your module list. The animate feature isnt even touched yet, so i don’t enable.. i’m not daring you, i’m really not.
Silaspartners Flickr Photo Gallery Widget for K2 Sidebar Module
I run it on K2-blue and just show an error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in C:\xampp\htdocs\wordpress212\wp-content\themes\k2\app\modules\silas-k2-widget.php on line 32
I’ll take a look tonight see what i can muster up for you.
I’m getting the same error. Any ideas?
same problem. somehow the module can’t access the silas fickr plugin’s class (it just acts if it isn’t there), don’t know why.
maybe the module runs before the silas flickr plugin is loaded? could we use an action here soemhow? (like plugins_loaded: Runs after all plugins have been loaded.) or is that a crazy idea?
that’s why it will never wor. Zaid Bethanie.
Not sure what problems you guys are having, but i have it working ok, still. I’ve added animation support aswell, so perhaps i’ll release it to everyone in the coming week.
