Some fotos for you all, more can be found here..
What the hell is going on here in Australia? two australian icons down in one week, thats just unheard of, let alone it being the last thing you expected!
Peter Brock was and is an Australian Motorsport legend, i’m sure he’ll be missed by almost everyone in australia. RIP Brock!
Whats next? Cathy Freeman dies running a 400m, stabbed through the chest by a javelin? Kieron Perkins dies swimming, eaten by a crocodile!
John Howard dies watching the footy, chokes on a chicken bone.
Adam Gilchrist takes a cricket ball to the head, dies!?
I think im gonna start a “pool”, winner takes all!
Change is an interesting thing, it creates oppurtunity, reason and either happiness or sadness. I’ve switched to K2 plain vanilla as i just wasnt feeling the previous theme anymore.
So while i work on something new and begin change in life sit through it with me and K2!
WOW! I stumbled across this via another website. If you’re into pinball then this game looks great, not only can you play a variety of pinball tables, but you can create your own in the editor.
Now.. i know you think this sounds kind of corny, (ohh wow u can create ur own table) but damn when you see the tables, you wont be thinking its so corny anymore. It’s free, donations welcomes, it’s Australian made.. what else do you need me to tell you?
A great little website, best check it out if you’re trying to PMS match to HTML Color codes… Click here
So we’ve now moved on over to our new hosting at digitalignition.net (my own hosting). For ages i bummed web space and bandwidth off strafe but i decided to take up and get my own for my new business ventures. So here we are, middle of the year and a new host and some great ideas, where to now? 🙂
Microformats are slowly becoming the norm amongst good web designers, if you have no idea what they are you can get more information at microformats.org. For those that know whats going on, heres a link to a microformats cheat sheet that has been put together by someone.
I just came across blinksale, an online invoicing web app, very nice, very smooth, produces a good looking invoice and is quite customisable. Combine that with 88Miles, an online time tracking web app and we might just have something here.
Imagine being able to track your time on a various project, hit a button in 88Miles and have it start up a new invoice for you in blinksale and vice versa, opening up an invoice in blinksale could provide a link from the invoiced hours to the breakdown in 88miles, all online!
Eyespot is an online video editing application i just heard about today, so i thought i’d throw something together quickly..
Here it is:

Romain Guy, Richard Bair, Joshua Marinacci & some other swing & java2d programmers have all been working hard towards this excellent application i just found out about today, only screenshots are available at the moment, however these screenshots are enough to make me want it 😉 Go check it out, it looks like a photo management application that allows you to store location information against the photo, the locations are then hooked with google maps and well.. yeah go look 🙂
I started to get a tad paraniod the other day (those of you who know me are probably laughing your buttholes off, but thats ok. Annnyway, i decided to implement GPG into my email so i could send stuff to and from work without having prying eyes. Thunderbird was quite easy to implement and works VERY well, all the details and the plugin for thunderbird can be found at http://enigmail.mozdev.org/
Unfortunately at home, i have to use outlook, most people would normally have to deal with it the other way around, but at work we use Thunderbird and at home I need to use Outlook so that i can sync appointments, etc. with my PDA. All the details on how to go about setting up GPG for use with outlook is available at http://www.gpg4win.org/.
Just a quick example i put together for some people, you can see it here: http://ignite.digitalignition.net/swingx-jxloginpanel/
and it sucks.
Who gets paid to make this? there a plenty of companies in perth capable of handling such a big project and keeping it compatible with all browsers and standards, yet for some reason, a big company like BankWest chooses to use someone who can’t deliver the project successfully.
Im currently trying to validate the site, but it seems to be running VERY slow.
Another 2 weeks or so until i get my XDA Atom *rolls eyes* the only thing keeping me patient is the cheap cheap price i tell ya!
